Being an established tile trader and supplier in Leeds since 1974, Ceramique Internationale has had the chance to work on some amazing projects including the re-development of the Emerald Headingley cricket Stadium in Leeds in 2020.
This huge project had a cost of a staggering £45 million, and included the creation of new hospitality suites, meeting rooms and the renovation of toilets and bars throughout the stadium. In total Ceramique Internationale supplied 780 square meters of tiles for both floors and walls. Now that’s a lot of tiles!
We worked with the interior designer firm Nanu Soda and SpaceInvader Design to select and supply various ranges of tiles.
The tiles shown in the image are those in the Taverners bar area and in the Directors suite, they are special order technicolour timber effect tiles in blue and beige.
The tiles are arranged in the striking herringbone floor pattern, which is a timeless classic floor design that is still very much in trend.
The floor of stadium entrances were furnished with Casalgrande eco concrete tiles, these are easy to maintain and anti-slip which are both a must for communal areas with high traffic. In addition to this these tiles are produced using 40% recycled materials so not only do they look fabulous but they are also much better for the environment too.
The bathroom floors feature the same Casalgrande grey concrete tile as the entrances and are perfectly complimented by the interlocking concrete – effect Cemento tiles that were used on the walls.
We are thrilled to be part of such a wonderful renovation project in our home city of Leeds.
